Hope, a flickering light
That once burnt down to mere embers,
Now threatens to erupt
In a blazing bonfire
Despite my fear
Of being disappointed
Again, and again.
I am being encircled
By angels
Of every kind,
And I am being blessed
In the most meaningful of ways.
Life is opening up to me
Like a flower in spring,
Filled with glory and promise.
How can I
Continue to doubt
My place in this world,
That I was born
To serve some purpose,
When I feel like a pearl
Emerging from the sea?
