Where would I go
If I could go there?
The world is so vast
And yet, so small,
And, as the saying goes,
The longest trip begins
With one step.
So where would I go?
I would retrace my steps
And visit old haunts
And old friends
From a childhood of moves.
I'd travel my country,
Visiting the national parks
And paying homage
At historical sites,
Then I'd step out into the unknown.
I'd cruise on a windjammer
To foreign ports of call,
And finally visit Disney
(Every last one of them!)
Before embarking on my lifelong dream
Of visiting Ireland, Britain
And the west of Europe.
From there, I will continue to step out
And who knows
Where the wind will take me?
Go for it and have a fun trip and a real adventure!! I love travel, and each place you visit leaves a little peice of itself in you. Enjoyed this alot! Blessings, Michelle
LOL at Karen's review (below) - I'll second that - can we make a stopover in Alaska to see the Northern Lights? :) My parents have been to Ireland, they went right after flights resumed after 9/11 - they were treated like royalty - just because they were Yanks (Americans) - beautiful, keep dreaming and maybe I'll see you on the road!
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Be always safe,
Karen
