I am so blessed
To have so many
In my life
Who believe in me
And who love me,
Warts and all.
How many can proclaim
This joy
With conviction?
Sometimes in the turmoil
And dust
Of day to day living,
I lose sight of and forget
The cups overflowing,
Seeing instead
Those overturned and emptied;
But in this time of renewal,
Of life reborn
And grace abounding,
There is no denial,
And I rejoice
With a light heart
