I watch the heavens
Everchanging,
Dawn to day,
Day to dusk,
And reflect
Upon the seeming sameness
Of my life;
There have been changes
Through the years
Yet
The essentials
That define my life
Remain unchanged:
The aloneness,
The march toward
Aged anonymity.
It frightens me,
The future
That seems to await me.
I try to change course,
Yet the days,
Weeks,
And months
Become years
With alarming resoluteness,
And I am helpless
Before the onslought.
The picture you have painted speaks volumes and the marching of time as changes don't seem to materialize as quickly as you might like. All in good time and the warmth of the sun will brighten all your many days ahead....
Be always safe,
Karen
