In other mountains far away
Stands a house
Worth five hundred words
To someone
Willing
To pour their soul
Through their pen.
The words I wrote
Were heartfelt:
One page,
A depiction of my work,
The other an entreaty
To the Giver of Blessings.
I sent them off
Wrapped
In a plain brown envelope,
My wishes and dreams
Bound up with a prayer.
Who would think
Common postage
Could carry such weight?
