You are so beautiful to me.
It is not a word
Men are comfortable hearing
Themselves described as,
But you are that, and more:
Physically beautiful,
With a quiet confidence
Warm sense of humor,
And strong moral character.
I'm sure you have flaws
(Pride being one)
But they are insignificant
Beside the facets
That reflect light
Like sun from a diamond.
I find myself wondering
What it must be like
To know your gentle touch,
To have the liberty
To touch you in return.
I've never known
A man's kind regard
So I have only
My imaginings
To sustain me.
Imagining someone keeps away disappointment and lies, and yet, it also keeps those fingers also away.
Yearning, maybe is the best part before the reality of the meeting gives us a glimpse of a tomorrow that we should have kept wishing.
A very soulful poem.
