Slowly,
Painfully,
My body resurrects itself
From years of neglect
And abuse.
Goals are set,
Taking baby steps
When I want
To take great leaps,
But always,
The wisdom
Of my trainer
Prevails.
Someday,
I've promised myself,
I'll be able to
Do twenty minutes
On the elliptical,
Do endless crunches,
And take part
In a Tae Bo class,
And all the while,
Look beautiful
As I break a sweat;
But for now
I content myself
With small victories
Like showing up
And surviving
And coming back
Another time.
Concur with Georg - have to have the want to. Don't need an overpriced trainer making money off your misery - get up and move! That's the key (and I don't charge LOL). An excellent write, though, keep moving forward and don't look back.
They wanted me to be three all whole weeks with tubes here and there pumping stuff and telling me how bad I was. One week after I was getting my legs to stop being lazy and walk walk walk, and, seven days after I was out of that place. So, my little one, it is between you and god, not what the trainer said, if you have the will and the power you can jump to the next level "as you please"
Be always safe,
Karen
