I want to go
Far, far away
On a big, big boat,
To let my worries drift
On the open sea,
I want to stuff myself
At the endless banquet
And ignore the fitness center
In favor of
A stage show
Or a lounge in the sun.
I want to visit exotic lands,
And take many pictures
As I sample the cultures,
Bringing back useless treasures
To collect dust on my shelves
And desk.
I want to try my hand
At dancing
To the beat of steel drums,
To see the Mayan ruins,
And listen to the monkeys
High up in the trees.
I want to lay on sugar-white sands
And do nothing
Except wonder,
With a self-satisfied smile,
What my poor, unfortunate friends back home are doing
Right at that moment.

Hi Rebecca
I'd like all that too, just not by way of a boat. Being a poor sailor, I don't have to be asked twice to get on a plane. Be well, Liz
Did that, still waiting for the T-shirt!
Escaping the ever sxcruciating vice that life uses to take the last drops of hope from ourselves a cruise to other places seems what the doctor orders.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
Enjoyed! Sometimes our worries have a way of following us.
Blessings,
~Linda
