O gentle rain,
Wash away
My despairing thoughts,
And cool the heat
Of hurt feelings,
And repeated rejection;
Fall upon my upturned face
And become the tears
I can no longer shed;
And soothe the pain
That enrobes me
By clothing me
In your moist embrace.
You who nurtures nature
With heavenly drops,
I call upon you
To nurture me

To root myself
