There is no doubt
I have an addictive
Personality,
I eat
And I shop
Compulsively,
And I'm certain
I am only
One drink away
From being
An alcoholic.
I live
In a constant state
Of crisis
And I am
Almost completely devoid
Of self-control,
I struggle every minute
To achieve some sense
Of balance
And often despair
Of finding it;
But I soldier on,
Picking myself up
After every fall
And trying,
Trying,
And trying again
To find
My missing peace.
Many have an addiction of some sort
whether it be chocolate, drinking or
smoking (I smoke)... It is a comfort
device, a way to treat ourselves although
in excess is damaging... we have to discover
why we do this, once we get to the root of it...
Then we can begin to recover (I've quit 5 times lol)
