I’ve surrounded myself

With photos

From my life.

There are images

Of  loved ones,

And pictures

That represent

A vast array

Of experiences.

I look upon them

And ask myself

Where I hope to go

In the future

And what I hope

To accomplish

With the other half

Of the time

I have been

Allotted.

I’d like to lose

A hundred more pounds

And take another cruise,

Perhaps returning

To those ports

That circumstances

Prevented me

From enjoying

On my last visit,

Then I’d like to see

The lilacs in Montana

Once again,

To see

Their vibrant color

Against the azure

Western sky,

Would they move me now

As they did

Back then?

There are experiences

I’d like to repeat

And others

I’d like to experience

For the first time.

The days and years ahead

Hold more promise

Than I could ever

Dream of.

I am so happy

I have them

To look forward to!
