“Be the reason someone smiles.
Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.”
― Roy T. Bennett
There are times in life
When we need
The kindness of others
To see us through
A challenging time.
Sometimes that kindness
Comes in the form
Of quiet words
And gentle touches,
And sometimes it comes
In the form
Of authoritative commands
Given in stern tones,
But never without
Unfailing encouragement
To try again
And again,
Until success is won.
Such are those
Whom I was blessed
To have at my side
As I reclaim the life
I once had,
And march into the future
With new anticipation
And renewed hope.

A great tribute to a great bunch of people who try very hard to keep us healthy and active, regardless of what is ailing us. Again, so well written, you make a fine poet with the wonderful message in your poem, to boot.
A little reality check that we all should take from time to time. We often forget too easily those who have walked beside us hand in hand over the years to shape the lives we have today.
