This poem would be great inside of a Valentine's day card! What a beautiful Valentine's message this would make! This poem is innocent yet passionate. In my mind, I can see red roses and candles!

I don't know about you all out there, but this one literally made me blush. Who wouldn't beg a kiss from their sweety? How true and well written it is: "My sweetness comes with thoughts of thee." Succinct and point scored!

What extraordinary beauty!!! It was like opening a 3-tiered gift; Norman Rockwell's art, Richard Orey's poetry..and Il Divo!!!

Nights in White Satin is one of my all-time favorite songs, Richard, which I used to play on my guitar. Occasionally, I still play it on my piano..but oh, the three-fold treasure you have bestowed upon me this evening..

I just finished reading "A Walk in My Garden" and it reminded me that we have similar poems as I have a poem entitled "My Secret garden". I also have a poem called "The Kiss", but like your's much better than my own. Your poetry always touches my heart and brings to mind my favorite, Emily Dickinson. I adore the beautiful old world style you use. Makes the reading of your poetry a true pleasure. Some of the contemporary poets of today who are getting such great accolades from editors and reviewers make me want to grind my teeth. Sir Richard, it has been said of another poet of late that we as poets should be concentrating more on critquing the poem and drawing less attention to tickling the egos of other writers.

I disagree! There are too many bashing away at others poems leaving some to pull away and run from AD.

A word of praise is worth more than gold to some and can inspire some to become great poets!
