I wish there weren’t any more bars,
I’d love to make wishes on a Northern star.
I wish for no more poverty
With everyone free under Lady Liberty.
I’d wish for no more oppression;
No one would be another’s obsessions.
I wish for rain where there is drought;
I’d want everyone free of fear out and about
I dream of the day all of us see four seasons;
I’d wish that for many fathomless reasons
But most of all I’d wish everyone perfect health
And all could live happily with their wealth.
To each his own handsome payday,
That no one ever need say, “mayday!”
I’d wish joy, love and happiness
To all who will have their own success.
