Trying to capture a moment of thought
From a mind as fuzzy as mine
Perhaps the hour is early as yet
To form the logical kind

Now, some men might say that's an oxy-moron
A woman with a logical thought
But, wait til I've had my coffee and smoke
I'll remember the lines, I forgot

Women are more than the sum of their parts
And babe, every part is a gift
Her mind may seem fragile when talking of love
But, her strengths are immence, though they shift

Each of us different, in beautiful ways
Not any are lessor than one
Some can inspire reflective repose
While still others shine like the sun

Now, most of you know, my non-feminist view
But, respect each and every ideal
None should be made to feel less than they are
Nor their validity any less real

The truth of the matter,(you may not agree)
That even the staunch feminist
At one point in her life, and importantly so
Needs the aid of a chauvinist

Don't shout so loud! It's early, I said
Just reason a moment with me
The caffein is working, just let me explain
Hopefully then, you will see

There's the soft spoken woman, the activist, too
There are those who can change a tire
Some women work in possitions of power
While others stay home, tend the fire

There's 'superwoman', anti-woman
Even the flighty kind
Regardless of what her possition in life
There's atleast one man in it you'll find

If this wasn't the truth, I'd keep my mouth shut
I'd never even bother
But, regardless of views from the feminist camp
The one man you can't 'live' without.......is your father

*Never underestimate the need for men. They are lovers, friends, confidents....
Even if you (as a woman) choose not to incorporate them in your life, as such...You still would not 'exist' without one!
