Dust to dust...yet the essence of who we are/were
lives on beyond the cool clay and faded flowers in
the quiet thoughts and words left behind. You tell
it like it is, with music to match. -gene.

A morbid poetess wrapped in a gossamer white gown sliding through the city of the dead like a lonely angel looking for a soul that didn't part.
Deep pain and hopelessness not only in the poems words.

YOUR PRESENTATION (MUSIC) ENHANCES AN ALREADY WELL WRITTEN POEM, WITH YOUR PHRASES AND RHYME DRAWING A CLEAR PICTURE OF DEATH'S BITTERSWEET REWARDS. ENJOYED IMMENSELY. THANKS FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS. JOYCE

Tribute to all departed souls who have met the soil at six feet under. Each one of these quatrains are measurable as timeless pall bearers, Belle...laid to rest and free of all materialism, on to the afterlife where chains are left to those of us here on Earth...good poetry...and music...

Love,
Sage

this is beautifully clear-eyed and reflective, Belle. Quite sombre in tone, though with a lightness of touch that indeed captures the duallisms which co-exist quite happily in graveyards, serving to add to our ponderings, rather than answer them. You speak of that ambivalence in a vivid capture of memorial scenery that is sharply observed and felt. This poem breathes easy and is at peace. xx
