Some people are like that flower, born from a cold rock fissure and clinging to existence for dire life, showing to whoever made it happens that it was stronger than "fate's" malice.
There was a song written back in the fifties about a Rose in Spanish Harlem and this poem reminded me of that song, it is such a striking picture and the poem does it justice...a symbol of what we can be if we really want to be...
