Much wisdom in this short poetic work, born, dare I say, most likely out of experience. The plus and minus avenues we visit many times when applying out love to an object, a flower, an ocean, et al. Especially does the full breadth of love's passion get challenged by a willingness to share such emotions with another.

For myself, I identify with much of the poem, and... fortunately, I've come out of several choices that stood a test for a time. Now... I find a reluctance to give of myself to another, but instead, try to be Love and just be conscious of my checks and balances in the journey.

Best to you and yours and may what you feel and believe remain simple. Yes... a vital word. Arguably the choice that carries insurance, the kind of which, complicated relationships often miss, ending in a crash and burn.
