For sometime now I’ve been so frustrated
And reason unknown to me
You seemed to have succumbed to hesitation
Before this state of preservation

Over compensated what have we become
This could be, the impossible one
By light of which, we find ourselves beneath the golden sun

Were there feelings when you were all alone
While I was waiting for you, beside the phone

It didn’t matter whether you were near or far
You seem to leave me with this permanent scar

I didn’t know if I found myself
But could you handle the thought of me
Being here with someone else
I’m so tired of sitting here upon this shelf
