Warm Thyself Upon My Touch

Benevolent believer, my souls deceiver
Was this conquest carved from stone
Worth its weight, if you have no home
So alone I watch and wait
But was this faith or was it fate
Where now I rest beside the seal of heavens gate
No food to rest upon my plate
Deceitful deeds had brought us here
There was no need for you to fear
Even though my thoughts were never that clear
Good intentions never go unnoticed
But I am not like a swarm of locusts
Beseech thy hand and understand
That I am but a humble man
It may be hard to comprehended
But I only wish to be your friend
So warm thyself upon my touch
And know that I respect you so much
