Time cannot be measured in hours and days
Nor can hearts and heads be turned nor swayed
What time imparts but parts as one
Beneath the light of the golden sun

Mingled in words but seldom heard
Is the voice of my passionate words
Save forthwith and forborne
I am not withered nor am I torn

Spun of this indigenous place
Where I lay the vestige of my faith
No words I utter without regret
And know thy hand with much respect

In as much that I leave this epitaph
For I have known the passage of my heart
No solemn passage of gentle tears
Have washed away my burdens and my fears
For I have felt the passage of my years
