Echoes Dance

Nighttime lingers on for hours
Outside I hear the tears of winter showers
Fields fill with fallen rain
There echoes dance across the pane

Thoughts whisper and I reply
I hold no desire or will to die

Life lives and breathes within my heart
Solemn be the tears that I’ve imparted
Warm thyself beside my fire
Quench the thirst of your desire

Pitter patters upon the pane
Within my thoughts I shall not refrain
Breathe and I am breath
Set before the world itself

No longer shadow me with doubt
Nor pity me; I’ve called you out
Where there is will, I’ll seek you out
I shall not live in a world of doubt
