No Longer Shall I Weep, Green Leaves

Quall not, less ye feel the sliver
I have felt the pulse as my lips quivered
No cruel intentions I depart
But what from where, and where to start

Fuelled beside the open fire
Quench the hand my hearts desire
Favor flurries beside the light of passion
No more, am I a slave of fashion

Twice I have felt the quiver of my heart
Where once was joy no tears depart

No longer shall I linger in the night
Beneath the stream of city lights
To hear the music of the night
And bask beneath the stars so bright

To hold the tempered hand of warmth
And feel the breeze far from the north
One day in life, and so I breathe
Beneath these lights the city bereaves

No longer shall I weep, green leaves
Within the tangled web that thou has weaved
