I Hear Another

I feel the weight beneath my feet
To this life it maybe tempting
But the taste is bitter sweet

Run my beauty virgin child
No scribe before this unclean squalor
Distant winds blow in wildly
No heavier my heart hollers

Besieged and shaken
Nothing left but am I faking
Two lives are lived by pulse and thread
I can hear the withering inside my head

One echo whispers in the wind
Beneath the light of heaven’s grin
And with no fruit come to bare
One lock of crimson golden hair

One day in life and daylight grim
Unlike the cup without its rim

One hand in comprehension
To this heart my own ascension
Spirit within I hear another
Could it be my gentle lover
