Aimlessly
Aimlessly I walk within the hallowed night
My chiselled hand before my sight
Holler yet not beseech me
As I have come to honour thee
Moonlit swept mountains
Forge thy thrills; alas I sense the pain that kills
My body’s weak, and my burdens are heavy
And alas, I stand here at the levy
My chiselled body upon the sands
And I am but a humble man
Tender are my eyes, which reflect the skies
Tears that echo the mournful skies
My skin is dry, much like the desert sand
And yet I’m here, and here I stand
My eyes peer through, as I sigh!
Thou hath known, and you have beseeched me
My life lingers, beside the river shed
Thoughts intrude, and leave my head
My chiselled body, and I feel weak!
Heaven knows, my heart is meek
