Dance Among The River Tide
The bastard master sleeps
Web of lies and born deceit
Foolish fable smite my hand
With the seed of understanding
Life is less if I slash the reeds
Prim the posies among the peat
Even there the buggers meet to greet
The rising of the day, though my heart is turned to clay
Streaking violent weep in shadowing thunder
Pondering grief and every breath there under
Shadows passed upon thyself
Tormented feelings of myself
Tiny footprints among sands
Rivers red upon my hands
Funny how the wind blows
Much like the gentle blood flows
Weeping tears have hallowed thunder
Mournful tears in which I wonder
Life is much like a child’s very first steps
Sometimes we seem to only crawl
Other times we seem to fall
I’ve fallen upon the jagged edge of life
To only dance among the river tide
To feel my ebbing deep inside
