Whispers Throughout The Ages
In the beginning! I could have been a visitor from the stars
As Pleiades has always beckoned whispering to me in the night
As I’ve had dreams among the stars
That whisper through me in the night
In the second life I was sorcery
I remember echoes of casting my rings of my desire
It’s interesting how the whispers of the little things
Remind me of a wand, which had a serpent head
From there I moved among and heavens
As I waited beside the seal of serpent fire
Bewildered by the world beneath me
It is ironic, how they never seem to see me
Born once more, I would walk among the rice fields
Monks would gather beside the temple at the riverside
Yielding all within its beacon, ebbing among it bluest light
I must have been in my teens as our conquerors came to pass
Born in spirit once more, it seemed that life was just a flicker in the night
From my darkened prism where the heavens seemed so grim
No light reflected down upon me, as the sky was always grey
Through the centuries, I witnessed as the nations went to war
Futile were the hearts of man, selfless passion blurred their minds
In the fourth life I was a witch and a girl no less
And I remember picking wildflowers and herbs
With my mother beside the riverbank
I would dance among the poppy flowers
As I played my panpipe in the morning light
Upon the equinox we would gather at Stonehenge
Beneath the pillars in the moonlight, seven souls in total, Merlin was our sage
As we cast the ring of dragons fire amidst the twilight hours
Winged beasts would gather, where nature spirits walked
Then to fall upon the unyielding harshness of man
Hung by the throat, till my soul departed once again
Born of spirit bound in my prism, I waited as I watched
Witnessing lovers live, and I bore witness as they died
Through the ages time passed swiftly, solemn in the night
In the fifth life, I was born as a baby boy
Red, black, blond hair and with a strawberry shape birthmark no less
Upon this life, I lived among the shadows
Till I was resurrected into light
Things have cast reflection, upon me in the night
And now I am a poet, as I walk among the light.
