In Loving Memory of our daughter Sarah Katherine Murphy who died 2nd October 2001. The image is the yearly candle that we light over her resting place

 Darling Child, Our Little Girl

Ten years have passed since your passing away
And I have never forgotten the patch that I knitted for you
Sarah you are still treasured in the depths of my heart
And over the years, many tears have I part

I remember the dream and the image of you
How I wish, that the vision came true
Darling little girl with heavenly wings
I remember the day that I dreamed of your beautiful smile

It was pleasant to see that you had your mother's eyes
And you looked radiant in your father’s eyes
Not a day’s gone by, where I’ve looked upon your resting place
And I adored seeing the love and the light that I saw in your face

I know you’re in heaven, and it’s a happier place
But there is sadness, when I know I can’t hold within my embrace
Darling child and our little girl, you have not been forgotten within our hearts
Heaven knows the tears that we’ve wept, you may be absent be you’re here in our hearts

And that is a memory, which time can’t replace!
Darling child and our little girl on your birthday, I’ll light a candle for you
All that remains is an ultrasound image of you!
And how I wish that, that wasn’t true

Time may heal, and heavens may part
But you are never far from the depth of our hearts

Love always Mum, Dad, Cameron, Christian

On this tenth anniversary I would be honoured if you made a donation to your local children’s charity if you like this poem, and thank you!
