Plucked Moonbeams From The Sky
If I plucked moonbeams from the sky
Twinkle twilight, river angel
To give thy heart, and ebb to sigh
Not forth wit, and upon thy naval
Apple of my eye bestow, and to know thy heart
By moonlit rivers ebb, thy heart as rivers part
Walk with heavenly feet my dear, to ebb and to err
And know thy heart in warmth and splendour
Sacred moonlit kisses and hiss like whispers
Upon my heart within divinity splendour
Whisper heavenly angel, upon thy sacred whispers
Ebb thy heart in loving, so loving and tender
Stoke thy finger through my soul
And to know thy touch by gentle hand
By moonlit rivers mystic angel, caress my soul
Among these starlit heavens, among these sands
To err and ebb in thy beautiful heart
Beside the ocean sea thou art
More, lovelier then the enchanted sea
To touch thy heart, and be with thee
