To be alas...Indifferent...A fate...Much worse than death...

Poem Artwork

INDIFFERENT

Anticlimax

Treadmill to oblivion

Going nowhere fast

Emotionless faces

Lost in self absorption

So blind

To glaring truth

Weak

From hanging on

Railing admonition

Sordid Coup De Gras

To be alas

Indifferent

A fate

Much worse than death

The poets speak of justice

Winds of restless anarchy

Unity awry

Delicate disintegration

Evil aims

Exploding

Streets awash

In martyr’s blood

Ankle deep

Swelling

Hope

Dwells in warm acceptance

Open heart

Open mind

Ancillary shame

Before the righteous king

A sad way to be, a form of self protection. Indifference, an I do not care one way or the other attitude. Sometimes this attitude keeps us out of trouble......Enjoyed!

You have written the kind of poem that begs for answers to questions, which I think is great...very good pen,

thanks,

What a photo, a bit eerie! Your poem is very powerful my friend, full of true words to ponder upon. Excellent offering, lingers within the mind! Enjoyed!

Bill,
Great write with this one--not to lessen any of your others poems I have reviewed. This paints an eerie picture of a doom for those who are not truly enlightened. Well done.

Bill, the picture is sad & leaves me wondering...Who do the stones represent? What did they do? How longs it been since someone visted? Are there ancestors dead too? Your writing is profound & prolific and speaks in words of truth.
