You can look and see the way you do because there is so much love and understanding in your heart. You make the world beautiful. You see the hurt behind the scars and make them disappear. Your are good, kind, and loving and will always be this way. God bless you. Love and Hugs. Bill xoxoxo
Unfortunately, some people can't see past the scars on their own faces. Fortunately, people like you can. You have helped this person to realize their own self-worth. And that is a true gift.
True beauty is well underneath the external scars of body and heart......this is a moving and inspirational poem.

Karla...you and I must be on a similar wavelength here. I just
penned a poem about the same subject this morning, but will sit
on it for awhile...then revise.
Lots of good expressions in your verse, hon!
What a beautiful, heartfelt poem; this poem made TEARS spring up in my eyes! What a beautiful testiment of love that overcomes all obstacles; a very good and important lesson can be learned from this write! This reminds me of two of my characters, Roberto and M'buti, and the love Roberto feels for his wife, even with her scars and all of the pain she has had to endure! Oh, if only more people could see the TRUE beauty of anyone who has survived burns or disfiguring accidents: these people are HUMAN, NOT MONSTERS! BRAVA for one hell of a fine write; thanks for sharing! This one is going into my library; it's most definitely a KEEPER!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :) >tears <
This is a marvelous poem, Karla. Well done! Contrary to advertising, beauty truly is far deeper than 'skin deep.' True beauty resides in one's heart and soul.
This exceptional book, Celebrating the Gift of Being Alive, has the perfect thoughts and words for birthdays, graduations, engagements, marriages, and any life celebration or family tradition.
Spectacular poetry!
Love, Sheila
Love Tinka
