living with chronic pain is the pits. i have good days and bad days...today is a bad day, pain wise.
the walls close in on every side, i hear the daemon's bitter laugh, my heartbeat quickens--not again, it pokes & prods with sharpened staff, i'd shatter these walls, if i could, but i'm held fast by jagged claws! there is no escape from its grip, & i am crushed by massive paws, it does not stop. it does not end! this creature seeks the death of me, the blood bursts from behind my eyes, i pass out from the agony, words swirl in technicolor fonts, painted in psychedelic shouts, i write of the madness endured, & once again, the room fades out-- welcome to the house of pain! I suffer with chronic pain as well. This is an excellent expression/description, Karla. Well written.

Can't imagine what you go through, Karla, on a daily basis. You are a brave soul, and this poem is tremendously good, eloquently expressing a tremendously bad situation. Hope things improve for you.
