Please pray for Karen and myself--we're
really having some difficulties as of
late. :-(
i slog on putting one foot in front of the other remaining ever hopeful i can avoid the traps of quicksand threatening to suck me under the ground
i fall into another one
i slog on battling the demons of depression that threaten to bury me with no hesitation no question they seek to destroy everything i am
i'm getting weary of the fight
i slog on hoping that the ground will level out soon so i can climb up the ravine i find myself in slimy vines crochet nets of trouble around my legs
and i've managed to lose the knife
i slog on hoping against hope i see the light soon advancing against all adversity thrown at me tell me this: they say that good things come to those who wait...
As everyone else has already said what I can tell you, Mz Karla, I will keep comments of strength of will to myself, suffice it to say, you made it this far, don't falter now...Rufuz sends his love and big licky kisses to help you go on...an excellent way to express your struggle, this poem...Peace in Strength, Ed & Rufuz

I hope you both keep on slogging. Everyone here is really pulling for you.
The tide will turn; it ALWAYS does. We've all been there, dear. You just have to "avoid those traps" for a wee bit till the Son finds you.

Keep on keeping on. Soon the night is going to be day.
Great fortitude...
I share the pain of difficulty with you. You are always in my prayers. Most striking part of this poem, apart from all other things, is the bravery and courage you availed for yourself to generate words that form verses of highest quality.
I'm torn about what to say first... i am so very sorry both of you are going through difficulties, and i WILL pray for you right now. secondly... this poem is very powerful work. please know that when i (and i am certain many, many others) read something like this, i am encouraged in my own poetic pursuits, in my faith and in my own small attempts to encourage otherse around me every day. so, KEEP WRITING through it! You know, Karla, Im still the new kid on the block around here. Probably will be for the next 10 years too. So I don't know what is going on for you. Whether this is indogenous depression or that youre feeling depressed because of circumstances beyond your control. If it's the former then you need to get the right medication to help alleviate the symptoms. If it's the latter then I can only try to empathise and add to the positive energy that obviously goes out of here to you, and Karen. I apologise for my ignorance of your situation. So many times I have seen those who have the least to give, give the most. And those who are in pain offer to help with the pain of others. You put a lot into this little community, and we all love you for the golden-heart you are.
this poem has alot of weight........
