Such a sad write; I pray things get better for the both of us; I hate seeing you so unhappy! If I could help you in any way, I would, believe you me! As Lori said, Oprah didn't actully give the cars away - the manufacturer did; and I just read that this will now be the wave of the future - to entice more of us - to buy many more new products. Maybe you can cash in yet, Karla. Think positive; and watch for new giveaways at a TV station, or shopping mall, near you soon.

All prayers get answered, just maybe not in this lifetime you are living now. I shall pray for you, as I always do. I was selfish and had taken pity on myself when I was diagnosed with my Second brain tumor. Not any more. God shall take care of me and I am in his hands. It is his will. I have no control over it. Be HAPPY you have a job and a roof over your head. I know I am. I am on Disability but am still appreciative. Life is good and with prayer, I shall get thru this too. I know you can too. Just listen quietly, and you shall Hear his voice.

I admire your honesty and for making yourself so vulnerable with this heart-wrenching write, Karla. All of us have days like this - and some "DESERVE" to have them more than those of us who are relatively well-off, too! That's as in the world's way of things, at least. But life is fundamentally about what makes us secure (rich, content and peaceful) on the inside... which remains rock-steady irrespective of the external circumstances, come what may. When the going gets tough, we sure can be tested as to where our "heart" lies, but yours is stout and true, Karla, and I know that you do have both deep trust and faith in a God who is well-able to supply ALL of your needs. And I have seen a deep disappointment in your last line, which I have read as "unanswered" (as yet!!) prayer for REAL needs - like health and sufficient resources - and not for the gawdy trappings of "success". Very poignant. Turning towards God and not away from Him will ALWAYS yield a bountiful harvest in His (frustrating!!!) time! Standing with you, Karla, and may you feel some actual relief SOON... It reminds me of the sripture that tells us not to keep our minds on the things of this world that are only temporary, but on the things of heaven that last forever. Karla, glad to read this until your last two lines -- don't do that to yourself. I believe God does answer prayer, just not always on our timeline or in the way that we might explect. Having been without health ins for 7 years and nearly a month w/o my meds I share your sentiment. It irks me most to see my own family members or those I have considered friends throwing around wads of money, knowing I cannot qualify for any assistance and could really use those little pink pills... that said, I love Oprah and she does a lot of good in this world. Back to your write, wishes WILL come true for you. Prayers will be answered for you and for me. God will provide enough strength for the day - that even your writes have taught me!! Dawn

It is a shame that money floats around,out of the grasp of those who need it.

Sad write. A side note... Oprah did not actually give the cars away. Yes, she facilitated the giveaway but the cars were donated to the show by the manufacturer, who also paid all taxes and any customizing that may need be done. The cost of each car was almost $30,000. Another act of wicked cooperate America. Personally, I think Oprah is pretty cool. Great write.

Some of us only can with our last cent to help others. I am one of them. I'm not rich, but I will give help even if it's my last cent. I always put others in front of myself. It's the thing that can make me happy.
