God save the little children.

I knew her before she even knew herself,
before she even came to be -
I whispered her name into her mother's womb,
she was very special to Me.

I synchronized each beat of her little heart,
for it was I who put it there -
I had heard her Mama's desperate longing,
she was the answer to her prayer.

I lovingly fashioned each delicate toe,
and counted the hairs on her head;
I loved that little girl with all that I Am,
and because of you, she lies, dead.

Too bad you took things into your own hands,
she was just eleven days old;
All because you couldn't stand to hear her cry...
and your anger was uncontrolled.

Absolutely shocking and heartbreaking write; but one that was needed to be done! Thank you for caring for our little ones; God help our children, especially those who are too young to help themselves! Very well done; brava!!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears <

How sad and heart wrenching! Too often the result of uncontrolled anger, is the life of a small child. This touches me to the soul. Thanks, Karla!

Unfortunately and so sad that this is the reality of a lot of childrens lifes, and sometimes all too often they are the luckier ones, somtimes it's the ones who survive that suffer even more. Insanity...yes that is putting it mildly. Good write and very real.

This sounds personal, and close to ones heart.
But I guess the third I Am stanza is God.
Albeit moving to the core..

Painful, painful, painful... the sound of a small baby crying still makes my womb clench up, I can feel it, and I just want to run to them... (Yeah, OK, Paul TMI...) But also I know what it's like when you are at your wits end when they won't stop. I know how close I have come to Insanity myself - not so grievous, but real, and I have just had to take 5, walk away up the garden, get out of the room. Some would say criminal, but no... the result of me staying might have been that. This tears my heart out and leaves it pulsating on the floor. Powerful, powerful, powerful. Bless you, Karla, TY Kate xx
