To span the oceans
of division and hate
that have eroded
all common sense will
take a miracle
to accomplish.
To fix the broken
shores of both of our lands,
lost to apathy
and the rage of war,

To find sanity
when ripcurrents and
tides threaten to pull
us off unsteady feet

That's where you come in.
Your voice, the cornerstone
of the bridge that leads
o'er troubled waters
straight to the promised land,
is the miracle I've
been praying for.
My heart, my hands, the
girders that support
and reach out in faith,
spanning great distances,
is the miracle you've
been hoping for.
Brother, join me on
the central span and
let's dance and celebrate:
we have accomplished
the miracle we've sought ...
