The rain is falling
outside my window,
something we haven't
seen in a while.
Earlier thunderstorms
have dissolved
into gentle showers,
which inspire the grass
to burst forth in
a duet with the laughter
of children splashing
happily in puddles.
More rain and storms are
expected overnight
through Monday morning;
a much needed break
from the burning season
we've been experiencing.
More storms are expected
from overnight through
early Monday morning.
Some of them could be strong
to severe, but the rain,
the rain, the glorious rain!
