Poem Artwork

Paradise
is sitting on a
                    front
                           porch
swing,
while drinking an ice-
                    cold
                           diet
Coke,
watching refreshment
                    falling
                           as
rain ...
truly, this must be
                    Heaven
                           on
Earth.

Substitute an ice-cold beer for that diet pop, and put that porch in the woods, and it's Heaven on Earth for me, too.

Oh MY!
I would love to spend more restful days on that porch in that swing on the end. I think though that I would trade the Diet Coke for a vintage Bordeaux, or a lovely old Cabernet Sauvignon.
This was very sweet!

The pic quite resembles my deck and scenery. I live in the mountains and Paradise is having an ice cold drink on the deck gliding in the porch swing thinking about your next poem. Rain is needed to keep our minds fertile as well as nature. Hope you get rain soon, Karla!

Many of my great memories is a log cabin in the Appalachians...watching the eagles below and breathing easy. I would sit for hours in the absolute peace I enjoyed with nature. Great memories and your poetry sparked them along.
My Thanks!
Love and peace,
Susan

Ah such a clear image, I could almost picture me sitting out there with you playing a nice slow country ballad on my old six string.

I wish that I could send some rain your way. It has been raining for a month at least. Driving was just so bad in it. We complain when we have it and when we don't. I pray you get relief soon.

These Black and Blue Red Zone Days by Aberjhani
