Karen slowly recovering from her hospitalization/surgeries. Get some of the staples taken out today, the rest, tomorrow; she's feeling better. And so am I, because we're...HOME.

Another day at home; it's right where we needed to be; here at home, surrounded by God's love; healing comes in His arms and in a nice soft bed. My bed. Her bed. Home. No more interruptions in the middle of the night; no more blood draws; no more vital sign checks; no more x-rays or other tests; no more IV pumps dinging urgent messages; no more uncomfortable hospital beds. Home. No more laying awake, wondering what the next day will bring; no more NG irritations; no more hospital food; no more pre-surgical jitters or post-op pain; no more icky tasting medicines; no more, no more, we're home! Home!! Home. Another day at home; it's right where we needed to be; here at home, surrounded by God's love; heling comes in His arms and in familiar surroundings. Our place. Home.
It is good to hear from you again, Lady Buckeye...and it is very good news that the Lady Redbird is home and feeling better. God bless you both and the best of the holdays to you...be happy...be safe.

Your pillow, the smells
The windows
The sun and moon
The noises that are familiar and the warmth of so much love in the small things that HOME is in treasures.

AND W E L C O M E !!!!!!! :))))) My goodness, Karla, this has my heart in my throat as it brings back so many memories for me... but none so dramatic, perhaps, as you delineate here. Yes, hospitalisation comes to us sometimes in many shapes and forms, from the serious to the purely convenient... But HOME!!!! Can so relate after my longest stay of 6 weeks... It was the nighttime blackout after all the perpetual light of hospital wards that freaked me out. But Karen is in your safe hands, and you are both continually in OUR praying hands and they is ALL in the Almighty hands.... we are safe and sure... and HOME!!! This news has me dancing, literally!! And never has our lumpy old mattress felt so good.... :)) Love you both xoxoxoxoxox God bless, K xx

you don't realize how much you appreciate little things like sleeping in your bed until you can't. I know the feeling. I've been in the hospital hundreds of times in my lifetime, thankfully, not recently. Tell Karen I said Hi and I am glad she is home.
I am glad you are both Home, you remain in my thoughts and prayers, and I continue to pray for Karen's renewed strength as well as your own Karla
