Bow'd low by news weighing h e a v y on the eyes, deafen'd by shouts of !! death and destruction !! shattering ears, head squeeeeezed by headlines until brain matter oooooozes down shirts: a sticky m e s s. Wars and rumors of war; disaster at every turn; politicians promising to deliver us from evil; the warnings to take cover from plagues and pestilence; global warnings caused by warming; will this madness ever end? Yet, hope resides in congregations who see the Son after the tornadoes roared through.
God's inspired word tells us are our days are numbered. Biblical scholars point to 1914, the start of World War I, as the beginning of the end this system of things. Among us mortals, who's to know? Yet it is foretold that those will be saved "...who see the Son."
Powerful, inciteful words, Karla, that should send us all to our knees.

The world sure does seem to be headed to hell in a hand basket doesn't it but you know sometimes I glance back at history and wonder if our parents during WW II or grand parents during WW I must have thought the same way.
For the bible is our road map...our comfort, our yesterdays, and our tomorrows...loved this write Karla, you've touched me deeply with it!

Yes, the Bible IS the only true source of hope and guidance, promising us all 'delivery' from this rotten system of things...and sooner than most people think!
