Thank you for the prayers. :)

Nearly seven inches of rain over two days of stormy weather. But we're here, we're H E R E! Thank God. :)

Poem Artwork

The sky opens into a vast
field of blue;
the Earth awakens,
kissed by the dawn.  The storms, over;
waters recede; nerves settle down;
that wasn't the case, yesterday:
tornado watches all day and
most of the night; storms rumbling down
tracks of precipitation laid
directly overhead; sirens
screaming warnings (but no touchdowns
here); thunder so heavy it shook
the soul ... that's ancient history:

here comes the sun, here comes the sun!

Awesome write! Fears gone. New day suns bright in the mid-80's; from the draught to the rain - what strange Texas weather! Yet it comes quickly with soul searching urgency of the "what if...". You are truly blessed Karla; both you and Karen!

And that's the way it goes! We're having tornado watches in the midwest, right now. Somehow... we live through them. :-)

Wonderful write and wonderful relief that your fears were relieved by the rising of the sun.

Thank God..Hmmm only seven inches, and heaps of rain too..
Stay safe...I was told by Texans that if a tornado comes in your direction, go in a hole or under a place lower than road level?

"thunder so heavy it shook
the soul" ...

Love this line Karla ... and I'm also thankful that the threat has passed. The weather in this country is becoming a fickle leviathan. Blessings to you ...
