"Miscarriage"
I held on as tightly as I dared onto the Light, but the darkness within my womb caused it to die in a rush of hot blood. It slipped to the floor, never to be remembered, extinguished, even, its heartbeat stalled forever. I wish I'd known her name. I had in mind Aurora, the goddess of the dawn ....
Excellent job on the reflections of this superb imagery! I had this unfortunate mishap occur to me seven times and with each one, I lost a part of me along with it ...Sad times...

This is one hell of a powerful and awesome write that captures the image as portrayed and turns it into the agonizing sadness of which you speak. Very emotionally draining to write I imagine.
