Thank you, Karen and Robert Palumbo, for a memorable day. MY Karen and I are now NASCAR NUTZ! LOL
The sound still resonates deep within the soul, shaking me to the core as they thunder by --
Numbers flash as they pass at breakneck speeds, with my neck following the action on the track --
On my feet, hollering for the driver I like best to do his best (Number Seventeen) * --
Shared with special friends, this was a special day, filled with laughter and fun and a lot of noise --
NASCAR qaulifying at Texas Motor Speedway: my first event will not be my last. :)
(c) 2007, Karla Dorman (4/12)
* # 17, Matt Kenseth, qualified 10th out of 44 cars for the Busch Series Race to be held Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Texas Motor Speedway. WAY TO GO, MATT!!! LOL
But can I go to the REAL races? No...have to work. :(

YOU caught the Nasca FEVER! :)
WAtching it on T.V. is just as much fun!
but Up close and personal is the BOMB!
Can almost smell the diesel fumes and burning rubber on this write, Karla! :)) You took us there with your enthusiasm and fine-tuned evocation. What an adrenalin rush! Looking forward to your next race report. Enjoyed! TY Kate xx
Some have blood in their veins, others, the lucky ones have a lot of high octane gasoline pouring from their hearts.
Noise? yes, plenty of that, talking to the souls with thunder.
Michael Fittipaldi and his father...my heros.

Karla, our gratitude is to you and Karen. In joining us, you have enlightened our day and brought wonderful excitement to our souls. Our deepest affection and much appreciation!!
I still hear the racers in my head, as you probably do; wow, were they ever LOUD!! MAN!! (Thank GOD for ear plugs, or I'd still be going "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?" LOL
A rip roarin' ride around the track of poetry; you take the checkered flag for sure with this winning entry! BRAVA, maybe you can challenge Kenseth in a future race of verse?? LOL (You'd win for sure--unless he writes poetry! LOL)
(((HUGS))) and much love, your (sunburnt) twin sis, Karen Lynn. :D
But it was worth it! Thank you, Karen and Robert Palumbo; we had a ball! :)
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooo, Matt Kenseth!! WHOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!! :D
This book tells the story of the 1999 Providence College Friars baseball team, the last season that the sport was played at the institution. Baseball was set to be eliminated after that season in order for the school to comply with Title IX regulatio
