Good MORNING! :)

Poem Artwork

... the sun,
rising; its light
teasing
through the window;
wake up;
it's a new day.

birds sing;
their song puts my
feet on
the floor; time to
wake up;
it's a new day.

words flow;
limbs move; lungs work;
a new
dawn of blessings:
wake up!
it's a new day.

storms, gone;
be like the sun;
seize the
morn in your hands;
wake up!
it's a new day!

(c) 2007, Karla Dorman (5/11)

Dear Karla

Next time I curse those beautiful spring migrant birdies chirping along with the crows and grackles, I'll try to remember this very wise poem.

Kathy

Stunning sunrise, Karla. Great imagery in your poem. Another fresh new day for us to have a chance at a new beginning. My mantra these days is: "I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me." Hope you did have a lovely, positive day. :)

There is a saying in French, "Après la pluie, le beau temps." Your verses remind me of this. Most uplifting, Karla. Merci, mon amie. Amour et paix,

Karla, I'm so happy you're seeing sunshine again. I love your poem that is full of spirit and hope.

I kept thinking you would send us some rain. Instead, fires in Georgia have blazed a trail down into Florida and right now everywhere I look outside looks like a white hazy sheet of smoke. GOD, WE DO NEED RAIN.
