"You think you own whatever land you land on,
Earth is just a dead thing you can claim,
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a Spirit, has a name ..."

From 'Color of The Wind'

Poem Artwork

The color of wind, transparent
as it rushes here and there
on its journey to some place that
I have yet to see.  My prayer

is to join the breeze as it rides
the highest mountains and bends
over the seas, as it takes
its time in visiting the ends

of the Earth, stopping along
the way at favorite places
to mingle with the people and
then go, leaving no traces

that it had been there.   Silent
traveller, teach us your ways
so that our children will have
a place to visit ... some day.

When we stop spinning storms, we give way for a mistral wind to kiss our cheeks and leave a perfume of faraway places.
A calm, happy and serene poem from a soul that decided that enough was enough and it was time to take a siesta.

Wow Karla, to ride the winds would be such a special treat. To soar high with the eagles and low to swim with dolphins. Keep dreaming, enoyed this one, so light and spiritual!

Be safe,
Karen

Exceptional piece of art you have created here and I believe one of your best writes to date. The images and thoughts capture heart and mind in this one and settle in the soul. Well done Karla.

This is a beautiful write from an exceptional writer. Keep producing more beauty for us to enjoy. But don't just follow the wind like that. It is going somewhere and it can be a dangerous destination. Pause and think about it again: Why is it there, where is it going? why? when? how? who? whose? keep asking questions about it, and you will certainly be able to invent new hypothesis.
Thank you Karla.
