Bravo my friend! I agree with the cliche...until you've walked a mile in my shoes...hurts me to see people judge others. According the bible we are not supposed to judge others, He says we will be judged as we've judged...can you imagine some people are going to be prosecuted to the fullest exent...I believe that somewhere in this life or at the end of this road we call life those that have taunted, teased, and ridiculed will reap what they have sewn with their sharp tongues and daggers of ignorance! I was taught to respect everybody for who they are! Never to pass judgement, never to tease, but treat others as I desired to be treated! What happened to respect? This kind of attitude ticks me off royaly! No one is perfect, and those who think they are, boy have they got a rude awakening! Write on dear friend and you tell em!

Good going Karla! I applaud you for speaking up and out! Those that live in glass bubbles with be in for a real shock when the glass bubble burst. Then where will they be?? Proud of you!
It makes me angry when I hear thoughtless comments, but you know what it reminds me of just who the really "handicapped" person is, and they have the worst kind of "Disability" the one that stops them from having common sense, rant on.

We should never judge unless we be judged. I bought a papaya never bought one before one was sliced it was excellent. But the other one I call the $4.59 lesson on fruits expression. I picked the only one green firm in the ben about 12 others looked rotten. Got it home yep you guessed it was green inside too the Lord taught me we can never judge fruit or others for sight is not a good expression the heart of the matter is what counts. Wonderful message Karla....
You hit back with a strong poem Karla. It is unfair for someone to tell you that you made their lives miserable. It is unfortunate for such things to continue. People should realise that DISABILITY IS NOT INABILTY. It is not by choice either.
I agree there is a lot of people out there that have nothing better to do and not enough sense to realize handicapped play an essential part in this world, but there are also a lot of caring loving people who reach out a hand and a smile to help us get along.
There ARE some very under-educated people living in this world. Their position in life seems to be hurting others with no cares except their own. Too bad. This is an excellent read!

People like that are just not worth your time. You my dear lady will continue to excel in this lifetime just because of the person you are and you know this is true.......so who ever could behave in that manner just isn't worth you time.

People have no clue how it is to be "in our shoes". I'd love to see anyone who ISN'T disabled spend a day, no a week, no a YEAR in a wheelchair, or walk with the aid of a cane, walker, or crutches, or walk with blindfolds over their eyes or wear earmuffs so they can't hear well. Only then will they know what it is truly like to be handicapped. I think all public places (schools, churches, work environments) should have a "disability awareness" course; that would really change their minds, open their eyes. That's the problem: people do NOT know what it's like, and they'd rather see us hidden away. Sad. We are only trying to better ourselves; give us a chance, please, and please look beyond our exterior! We are more like you than you may realize! Very powerful rant, I hear you!
