We'll take any break we can get! LOL

... same old, same old, the wet
that keeps on keeping on;
the obdurate low stalled
to our West shows no sign

of moving more than a
slow drift south.  Maybe.  It
could meander back this
way or be replaced by

another:  just what we
wanted to hear.  Not.  The
wet pattern continues:
what the weatherman is

saying, anyway.  But
yesteday, the sun shone:
it was enough to get
out into the light:  no

rain for the first time in
days.  Too bad it didn't
last -- raining, again this
morning.  Oh, well:  enjoyed

it while we had it.  Red,
white, blue the colors of
the day, not just gray; soul
and parade grounds shook, not

with thunder, but with the
sound of freedom flying
overhead; nighttime skies
illuminated not

with thunder, but fireworks;
a good time had by all.
The year without summer
persists; not complaining:

it was nice to come out
of the dark while we could.

Hope the weather returns to the usual soon! I was thankful for our rain shower yesterday, thought about you and Karen and all the rain, and about how too much of a good thing is rotten! Thoughts are with you!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

A wet dog shakes the water away, and when dry it gets a bone.
The sun, dear girl, was always there, you had only to drawn that darn gray curtains made of clouds.
Happy return to the scorching sun!!!!!!!!

Karla,

This was wonderful! I am so glad we got a needed break from all the wet weather; God couldn't have planned it better! Let's just hope the stubborn low goes aWAY; but then we'll be complaining about the heat and/or the need for rain; it ALWAYS happens! LOL Very well done; glad we could be there together to celebrate our nation's birthday! We did have fun, didn't we?? Can't wait to next year! :)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :D

A welcome break... Fireworks inside my head would be good right now... This sounds to me like an environmental summer 'flu... I can commiserate deeply with this sense of the blues... reds... whites... greys. Catch it while you can, Babe. Perhaps the sun will return before it's Easter Bonnet time... Your crochet must be magnificent by now... LOL K xx
