...the rollercoaster of years...

Time that was so
long, grows short.
When time had time
enough, it
was forever.
Remember
Christmas, how we
thought it would
never come?
That's what I mean.
Childhood has
been lost, not to
be found; the
rollercoaster
of years is
gathering speed
as we age.
Faster.  Faster.
Stop the world,
let me offfff.  Time.
Where did it go?

We all cross that path where time is elusive and ending...there is the reality that we know comes and so there is only the shortness of each day, each moment, and memories where we can find....time...

nice work Karla...

A question that I have often ask myself and seem to hear others asking frequently. It did seem that it took Christmas forever to arrive, and summer vacation...wow! It seemed a lifetime before it arrived...and event the days seemed to last for week, now it seems that Christmas arrives within a few months. I can't believe that I am already buying small Christmas gifts in preparation for the upcoming holiday, it seems that Christmas was only days ago! Where does time go? Why does it seem to be moving faster just as a roller coaster ride? I guess we'll have to try to squeeze every minute of enjoyment we can get out of life while we can! Great write about a question pondered by many...
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Karla,
Time ... or rather the reflection of time can often change the speed of reality. The rollercoaster of years can slow down if you live your list of 50 things. Great write!!!

Enjoyed...and yes I do remember this o' so well!
The olden days were beautiful and I carry them here in my heart everyday. However...time and life just gets sweeter and sweeter as the days grow long/short according to who is looking at them (as time goes along) like fine wine~I would like to think.

Best regards to you and sis, don't be a stranger have not heard from you or sis since Jan...holdin' it down in all that rain weren't you?
Smile many many blessings to you both!

oh... all the hate letters ive written to time.
initially because it never moved and now because it moves to fast [and all the ones in the middle because it wasnt the 'healer' i was promised it should be...]

i remember the whole christmas thing well.
in my country we have summer break dec/jan and when you are just little your school will finish 5 or 6 days out from christmas... but yikes... those 5 or 6 days took 10 or 11 years to pass thats how long time drew them out and every day would be teased by that christmas tree... just sitting there... with gloating presents that had my name on it...

and now...
now i have to start counting down for christmas 80 days before its on its way so that i have time to get excited haha.

where has time gone indeed.

Dear Karla,

Time is how we perceive it. We are the ones who have the power to say if we will stay on the rollercoaster or we want to get off. The rollercoaster no longer holds any thrills for me. I'd much rather be walking through a garden.

Love & Light always and in all ways,

Time speed is relative. It depends on how much we want to slow or quicken time. The more you want time to go fast the slower it seems. But it is not rally so, it just seems so. Clever poem. Victor

If the carnies would only reverse the rollercoaster like the Ferris wheel, we could time travel...we can still get to the carnival for the caramel apple and the rings over the fishbowl before our guppies sag! Meet you and Karen Lynn in the House of Mirrors, Karla...be well always...Blessed Be.
