Karla, you've added a new dimension to this poem (visual joy instead of physical fear)--in contrast to some of your other storm poems: "eyes wanting loveliness" "a visual feast".
Lightning really is beautiful and your photograph aptly demonstrates it.

Love iit when the lightning goes crazy and give us a free fireworks show . . . Your poem pointed that out quite nicely . . .
The picture spills lushly into my mind. I can see it so clearly after I close my eyes. You poem captures this feeling also.
