wrestling a thunderstorm

cumulonimbus clouds
gather; fighting, bumping
each other, wrestling in
the darkening skies, each
collision outlined in
a vivid lightning flash, each
outburst accompanied
by thundershouts. each vie
for the upper hand. their
falls release great gusts of
air shoved from the mattress
of the clouds when one of
them loses that round. their
sweat rains down on the earth.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A break from the heat! It's
storming out there now as
I write this...the building
clouds looked like hulking
wrestlers, and this poem
came to mind. Hope you
enjoy...(((HUGS))) and
love, Karla. :)

An impressive show of imagination, Karla. I grew up watching wrestling, so this was vivid for me. Hugs,

Thunderstorms are one of my favorite things to write about. Even moreso, I like reading what others write. Cheers to such sizzling imagery.
